With regard to MAHLE air cleaner modules for commercial vehicles, the installation space, weight and interfaces to other systems are individually adapted as a complete concept in line with customer requirements.
A core area of development at MAHLE is focused on achieving longer service intervals. Mechanical or electrical sensors provide a reliable indication of the maintenance status of the filter system. The filter is freely accessible and maintenance can be carried out without the use of tools.
MAHLE is also leading with respect to environmental protection. As a result, MAHLE no longer uses metal parts when designing its air filter modules, so as to make disposal of the used filter materials considerably easier.
In addition to conventional air filters with main element, safety insert and cyclone, MAHLE also develops complete air management systems. Upon customer request, dust and water can be removed separately via valves. Resonators for damping critical acoustic frequencies can also be integrated in the filter system.
